Covid-19 Update
NASA is closely monitoring the Coronavirus and is taking appropriate screening measures. Our main concern is for the health and safety of our patients, staff, and physicians.
NASA is closely monitoring the Coronavirus and is taking appropriate screening measures. Please be patient with our staff as we ask additional questions when you are trying to schedule an appointment. With the growing public health concern about the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), we want to assure you that our main concern is for the health and safety of our patients, staff, and physicians. We are taking all precautions and following the recommendations of the Center for Disease Control (CDC), Florida Department of Health, and Collier County Health Department.

The virus is thought to spread mainly between people who are in close contact with each other. As such, to best prepare you to remain safe and well, we have taken the following actions:

  • We are screening patients and employees that have recently traveled internationally or been on a cruise.
  • We are screening patients and employees for cough or flu-like symptoms, or symptoms of a respiratory infection.
  • We are screening patients and employees for anyone that has come into contact with someone that has or is under investigation for COVID-19.
  • We have personal protective equipment (masks, gowns, and gloves) at our clinics for use by staff if deemed necessary.

NASA and OrthoCollier remain open with regularly scheduled operational hours. Please continue, and encourage others to:

  • Wash hands with soap and water frequently for a minimum of 20 seconds
  • Avoid touching your face and eyes

Our Specialties

Neurologists are medical doctors who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of the brain, spinal chord, and nervous system diseases. The majority of their specialty for patient care consists of treating Alzheimer’s Disease, headaches, neck and back pain, stroke, or injury. They specialize in narrowing the patient to a specific diagnosis to properly treat him/her for their unique medical condition.
A Neurosurgeon is a physician who specializes in the diagnosis and surgical treatment of disorders of the central and peripheral nervous system including congenital anomalies, trauma, tumors, vascular disorders, infections of the brain or spine, degenerative disease of the spine (cervical, lumbar, and thoracic area), pain instability, and spine disorder leading to nerve compression.
Pain Management is the process of providing medical care that alleviates or reduces pain. Mild or moderate pain can usually be treated with analgesic medications, such as aspirin, Aleve, and/or Tylenol. For chronic or severe pain, controlled prescriptions may be used and monitored closely. Pain management also introduces the epidural for severe pain to reduce inflammation that is associated with spinal pain. Pain management specialists control the intake of medications and provide the patient with the utmost care for the patient to continue their daily activities in a conservative manner.
Orthopedics is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and nonsurgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders. We are proud to provide our patients with comprehensive Sports Medicine and Orthopedic care. Whether you are a professional athlete or you just play for fun, we can take care of your medical needs.
